A TASTE THAT NEVER
HAD A NAME

Long before it had a brand, it had a reputation. In Mayurbhanj, a tribal district in Odisha known for its forests, its craft, and its people, one dish has always brought everyone to the table: puffed rice with mutton curry — Mansa Mudhi. Odias everywhere, wherever they've travelled or settled, know this flavour and carry it as a piece of home.

Yet for generations, this beloved Mudhi never had a name of its own. It was made in homes, sold loose, judged by touch and smell rather than a label — trusted, but never branded. Murmuren exists to change that: to give Mayurbhanj's puffed rice its rightful identity.

WHAT MAKES MAYURBHANJ MUDHI DIFFERENT

Puffed rice is eaten across India in many forms — but Mayurbhanj Mudhi has its own character. Grown and milled in the fertile belt around the Similipal hills, the local raw rice used here gives the Mudhi a distinct texture: light and airy, yet sturdy enough to hold its crunch even when soaked in curry or mixed with spices. It's this quality that makes it the perfect match for Mansa Mudhi, and equally at home in a quick Bhel, an evening chura-chanachur mix, or eaten simply on its own with a pinch of salt and mustard oil.

WHAT MURMUREN STANDS FOR

The Only Dedicated Brand of Mayurbhanj Mudhi

Organic, chemical-free, and true to a recipe that predates the idea of branding it at all. It's puffed rice made the way a grandmother in Mayurbhanj would make it — now available with the consistency and trust of a proper brand.

MADE THE WAY IT'S ALWAYS BEEN MADE

"Real Mayurbhanj Mudhi isn't fast food — a home batch traditionally takes close to two days to prepare properly."
